Senior Financial Data Analyst recruitment

Responsibilities
- Oversee, audit, and validate data as part of our monthly data collection and production process for RMBS (Residential Mortgage Backed Securities), CMBS (Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities) and ABS (Asset Backed Securities) in US and EMEA regions.
- Conduct validation analysis of processed data and refine the data as needed. Provide feedback to improve internal data capture and cleaning processes.
- Comprehend and interpret data from multiple sources and undertake research to determine which data points to extract and how to implement them into existing data sets.
- Approve the release of refined data sets to internal and external clients and downstream processes (including our software models, waterfall libraries, research databases, and data warehouse).
- Work with product management and development teams to implement process improvements.

Qualifications
- Undergraduate or graduate degree with an emphasis in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Math, or related quantitative field
- Must be detail oriented and have the ability to learn quickly.
- Demonstrated initiative, enthusiasm to learn, excel and be a part of a dynamic team.
- Superb quantitative and analytical skills and persistence in analytical and problem solving.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently and flexibly.
- Exposure to Mortgage and Asset backed securities and/or cash-flow analysis, banking, credit, and/or financial industry preferred.
- Experience in working with large/complex data sets, using financial technology, application of quantitative methods, or database administration preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Proficient in writing macros using Microsoft Excel VBA preferred. Experience with Microsoft SQL databases 2005 and higher preferred.
- One year of relevant work experience preferred.
- Must be willing and able to work on weekends if needed.
