Senior Financial Planner – Mid size Dealer Group recruitment

My client are an iconic brand name in Australian financial services history with over 130 years of operation behind them. They are a wholly owned subsidiary of a well known Australasian company and specialise in the provision of wealth, insurance and advice solutions to customers.

As part of their Advice team, they operate a team of Senior and Associate Advisors who support the NSW area. Due to natural attrition a role as a Senior Financial Planner has become available.

The role reports to the National Sales Manager who is based in Sydney. Your role is to provide holistic advice to a portfolio of clients from all walks of life. You will be provided with an existing client portfolio as well as regular internal referrals which will make up 40% of your clients. You will be tasked with sourcing your own clients and developing your own centres of influence to provide the other 60%.

This role will likely suit an individual who has previously been a self employed Financial Planner and who has or is comfortable creating referral partners. You will need to be a strong business developer, hungry to succeed with good technical knowledge.

You will be provided full paraplanning and administration support. An excellent commission structure on top of a market led salary is on offer.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years minimum experience as a Planner, a demonstrated track record of sales, and have the necessary qualifications.
