Senior Financial Planning Manager

This Senior Financial Planning Manager's job in Edinburgh with a cutting edge financial services business offers fully qualified accountants with financial planning experience to join a growing and influential team in a highly visible role.  Working in tandem with the Head of Financial Planning, the Senior Financial Planning Manager will form a key part of the Financial Planning team.  The purpose of the team is to co-ordinate the planning activity within the Division, and ensure submission of the financial plan to Group.  The Senior Financial Planning Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of the plan to tight deadlines.

The Senior Financial Planning Manager will partner with various sub-units of the Division, ensuring a broad and deep understanding of income and cost drivers.  You will act as a senior partner to the business unites, embedding awareness of the planning process and all deliverables; effectively balancing support and challenge.  You will liaise with key stakeholders including the Divisional Finance Director, Group Finance, Group Planning and Divisional Managing Directors.  The Senior Financial Planning Manager will seek to drive and implement continuous improvement across the wider planning process within the Division, providing high quality support to the Head of Planning.  This will include handling numerous ad-hoc requests from the Finance Director.

To be successful in this role, you will be a fully qualified accountant with significant financial planning experience, ideally within a financial services/large corporate environment.  Product knowledge and awareness of the important KPIs will also be advantageous.  Naturally, your stakeholder management skills will be exceptional, as you'll be expected to influence key stakeholders at Exec Co level and beyond.  It is anticipated that the Senior Financial Planning Manager will be a career-minded and ambitious candidate, looking to use this role to further his/her career within the business.
