Senior Financial Reporting Analyst
My client, a highly successful pharmaceutical company, is currently looking for a high calibre financial professional for a crucial position within their finance team.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning and Reporting the position will be responsible for ensuring all management reporting activities are globally co-ordinated and carried out within the Reporting system (Cognos). The Senior Reporting Analyst will be responsible for reviewing, preparing and releasing the finance Cognos monthly reports, collating commentaries from the Business Controllers and preparing presentation materials.
Key Deliverables
· Preparation of all Global monthly financial Management Reports
· Prepare and issue monthly timetable for management reporting
· Preparation and set up of monthly presentation packs for the Director FPR to present to the Operations Team
· Prepare a monthly reconciliation of the Consolidated Statutory Accounts from Controller with the Management accounts from Cognos BI with input from Consolidation Accountant
· Prepare Global External Reports for banks
· Business owner of the financial structure, monthly reports and hierarchy definitions used in the Cognos BI system; Responsible for overseeing hierarchy maintenance and the E1/Cognos interfaces
· Maintain and update the Sales and Management Reporting policies and Procedures
· Cognos super-user; advise the systems analyst in preparation of Cognos training materials for new starters in FPR
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with proven analytical and financial reporting experience. Excellent IT skills are essential with experience of Cognos being beneficial but not essential.
