As a member of the Cash Cost Accounting unit of the Cash Cost Operations Team for the Swiss based companies, you will support the team in performing financial accounting tasks dedicated to this Cash Cost Accounting unit, preparing quarterly closing figures for the statutory / US GAAP filing and participating in Financial Accounting related projects.
You are also responsible for coordinating with the Center of Competences in order to (re)assess, develop and communicate Financial Accounting closing and reporting processes for the entities in scope and actively supporting the team leader to develop and implement a reconciliation metrics for Cash Cost Operations and being in charge of timely deliverables of account reconciliation metrics.
The opportunity
Key responsibilities will include performing Financial Accounting tasks and quality checks on the Balance sheet and Income statement positions of the Financial ledger, cooperating in monthly- / quarterly- / year-end closing processes as well as ensuring timely submission of financial data and ensuring timely deliverables of account reconciliation metrics and close monitoring of open items. In addition you will ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and the audit requirements and coordinate together with the Center of Compentence to (re assess the Financial Accounting processes and ensure their documentation and execution being compliant with the risk and control framework and in line with the audit requirements whilst supporting continuous refinement of the Financial closing and reporting processes.
About you
- 5 - 10 years of work experience in Financial Accounting
- Profound knowledge of financial closing and reporting processes and common accounting principles
- Good analytical skills
- Familiarity with Swiss tax regulations would be of advantage
- Strong computer experience in the use of Microsoft Office and of standard bookkeeping software for financial accounting
- Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work on own initiative and target-oriented
- Good command of the English language
