Position Summary

We are looking for a senior financial writer with extensive experience in asset management and product marketing.

The Financial Writer will be responsible for writing on a broad range of market research topics that capture Franklin Square’s market position, funds, branding, thought leadership and business processes.

The Senior Financial Writer will work directly with our senior managers on economic, financial and investment business plan strategies. This includes, but is not limited to, executive summaries, value propositions, white papers, sales points, marketing materials, financial assumptions, and investor pitch-deck content.

This position will play a key role in showcasing Franklin Square’s innovation and creativity through insightful content, well-written copy, cutting edge technology and mediums.

·    Working with team members to draft and edit content on business plan directives;

·    Collaborate with team members to capture their latest thinking, investment ideas, and package that information into thought pieces and summaries;

·    Coordinate scripting for investor pitch-deck multimedia content;

·    Support digital efforts to write and develop digital content and web copy;

·    React to market events and generate high quality written deliverables as needed;

·    Update docs which include re-writing of key thought pieces and summaries;

·    Coordinate with marketing and team members to identify market needs;

·    Prepare materials for the monthly/quarterly/annual ad hoc needs;

Qualifications

·    At least 10 years of experience in communications, with a focus on speechwriting and leadership communications.

·    Excellent writing skills, including experience in creating, writing, editing, proof reading within a professional organization.

·    Strong project management skills.

·    Previous financial services industry experience

·    Ability to quickly establish credibility and build productive relationships across the organization.

·    Recognized as a team player who willingly shares knowledge and information with others

·    Exercises sound judgment as a communications professional.

·    Produces high-quality work at a professional communications level.

·    Strong proficiency in written skills and ability to explain concepts and make them relevant to the audience.

·    Strong work ethic.

Requirements

Franklin Square is seeking a financial writer with extensive experience in alternative asset management and product marketing.  Strong knowledge of fixed income and strong writing and editing ability required.  This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing Communications. 

Responsibilities include the development of clear, concise content and communication supporting the development of marketing materials, web content, e-mail marketing messages, letters from senior executives and the CEO, white papers, bi-line articles and op-ed pieces and market commentary.  Work very closely with product communications, marketing, senior executives and the sales and service organizations in crafting and refining this content.  Also the individual will have the responsibility of developing content that will be used across multiple distribution channels including independent financial advisors, Registered Investment Advisors and Institutional markets. 

Individual must be able to understand technical investment management concepts, and develop clear, concise communications that addresses a broad constituency. Position requires an in-depth knowledge of alternative investments, product marketing, investment strategies, and economics with 10 years of direct experience in an asset management organization in the role of financial writer. The capacity to fully comprehend Franklin Square’s products and their investment processes.
