Introduction: Montash Associates have been engaged by a niche design and technology consultancy, to assist in the acquisition of a team of Flex Developers. This team will work together to create a core design and development strategy, and then work directly with clients from a variety of industries, including Investment Banks, Military Organisations and leading Energy Providers, amongst others.

The Team: Sat within the core development division, the Flex Team is focussed on providing the technical solutions to client requirements. The team works closely with other development teams, as well as design and UX teams and client support teams to collaboratively offer the best possible solution.

The Project: A variety across several industries, including trading platform development for leading Investment Bank, Defence System design for a military organisation and a variety of other leading firms in both the public and private sectors.

The Role: There is requirement for several new team-members from a variety of backgrounds, including Flex Developers and a tech lead. As a Flex developer you will be working on building next generation rich client applications for a variety of customers. On the cutting-edge of technology and design, this organisation specialises in producing innovative market changing business applications.

•You will be part of a dynamic agile development team

•Work closely with the user experience team, project managers and business analysts to design, build and deliver innovative RIA applications.

•Work onsite with key clients.

•Be responsible for producing and maintaining high quality, unit tested code.

•Build user interfaces to the specifications of the user experience team.

•Work with QA to ensure the highest quality and standards.

•Participate in the development of the technical practice.

The Skills: All applicants will possess the following, with some flexibility:

•Excellent object-oriented design and analysis

•A passion for and experience of agile software development

•Expert knowledge of Actionscript 3, MXML, the Flash Player runtime and the Flex framework

•Experience of custom component development, styling, skinning modularisation

•A strong knowledge of design patterns

•Experience of working with LCDS/BlazeDS

•Client-Server integration and architecture

•Unit testing

•Strong experience of application frameworks such as Parsley and Cairngorm

•Experience of with build tools (such as ANT or Maven), source control systems (SVN, Git, Perforce), and Continuous Integration

•Familiar with Java/J2EE, JavaScript, HTML, XML, SQL

•Mobile application development (Desirable)

•Good communication skills

•A passion for programming

•Motivated and organised

•Good team member

•Strong attention to detail

•Strong problem solving skills

•A good computer science degree or similar
