Senior Front Arena Developer – Central London
JOB DESCRIPTION
A leading quantitative hedge fund who trade across asset are seeking a senior level developer, with hands-on Python or .NET Development skills and significant Front Arena experience to join their London team. After exponential growth due to recent and continued success, the team is looking to add to their experienced and dynamic development team ASAP.
This individual in will be a part of a small trading systems development team and will work directly with front-office and trading teams to design, build, and enhance their Front Arena platform, amongst other risk management tools. It’s a hands-on role and will require strong background in Python / .NET and understanding of Arena Extension Language Script Server (AELSS) and Arena Data Model. As an experienced developer, you will be expected to wear multiple hats of responsibility in what will be a very multifaceted role.
Your duties will range from:
- Development and Extension of Front Arena Platform
- Maintain, Improve and Develop new code within Front Arena using Python and .NET
- Architect the next generation of the development platform, reviewing new technologies and suggesting scalable solutions
- Participate in design sessions and code reviews
- Work on cross-functional teams
- Mentor junior developers
- Solve complex problems, and troubleshoot issues
- Be capable of wearing “multiple hats” of responsibility
Your experience will include:
- 3+ years’ experience working on Front Arena Platforms
- 5+ years developing in C# / .NET / Python
- Understanding of business requirements – and ideally experience working in Front / Middle office of a Financial Institution
- Practical use of Front Arena technical Architecture (Product version 1.5 or above ideally)
- Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering desirable, but not essential.
- Experience with AELSS and AMBA
- Ability to lead a team and inspire junior members
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
