Senior Front Office Java Developer – Core Java, Swing – City based Investment Bank recruitment
This is an opportunity to join a small Front Office Electronic Trading Group that works very closely to the business. You’ll join a flat structure of talented people and work in an autonomous fashion to deliver high profile solutions to a booming FX business. They have three key projects underway and they’ll draw on your development, analysis and architectural skill set.
Banking experience is preferred but my client is keen to talk to some strong technologists from outside of the industry (Gaming, Telco’s, defence etc)
Requirements
- Large scale, core Java server-side development experience within a structured environment.
- Experience of building large scale, high throughput, low latency, multi-threaded server side applications.
- Java Swing GUI development
- Databases - Sybase preferred, Oracle acceptable
- Familiarity with agile software development lifecycle and supporting tools such as Subversion, Maven, Hudson, JIRA, Fisheye etc
- Comfortable with all phases of software development, from design through to delivery
Additional/Useful skills
- Financial Experience, preferably front office in FX, Money Markets or Fixed Income.
- Electronic Trading/Ecommerce
- Experience of delivery to demanding front office business stakeholders.
- C#/.Net
