Senior Fund Accounting Manager

A multinational finance and investment services business is looking for a robust and commercially driven individual to join the firm as senior fund accounting manager.

Successful candidates must hold an accounting qualification and come from an investment management/fund accounting background. You will be tasked to drive forward all Investment Trust aspects of the project including presenting to the prospective client around the current business, project governance and documentation, and implementation strategy.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Managing a team of 4-6 people and also deputising for the head of Investment Management when need be
• Responsible for the development, management, control and performance of Investment Trust team
• Responsible for planning and organising all aspects of work required to provide third party administrative
• Supervise and control the production of annual and interim statutory financial statements in compliance with the AIC SORP, UK GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Oversee and control the timely production of the financial aspects of board papers to client requirements
• Oversee and control production of daily NAV pricing and onward delivery to client.
• Provide MI statistics to Client Delivery Group and Risk Group on volumes and team performance

The successful candidate will need the following skills, knowledge and qualifications:

• CIMA/ACA/ACCA fully qualified
• Excellent Excel, Access, Word and Power Point skills
• Oral and written communication skills
• Extensive experience in financial services with FSA regulated business
• Extensive experience of fund accounting environment including coverage of pricing, statutory and other reporting
• Strong accounting knowledge covering relevant accounting standards and regulations including IFRS, UKGAAP
