The Client: This large multi-national bank provides Fund Administration and Accounting Services to third party investment managers and other group businesses globally. Based in Edinburgh, they provide operational support to both internal and external clients who use their systems.

The Role: We are looking for an investment professional who assists the Assistant Manager in the delivery of Investment Administration services, in particular accounting and valuation reporting, to assigned clients within agreed quality, timing and output targets. You should have end to end knowledge of Pricing, how funds are priced and how this affects the value of the Funds.

Main responsibilities will be:

Ensuring that all preparatory work with regard to Accounting Pricing is completed, that valuations are produced to deadlines consistent with valuation points and that issues are logged and queries are followed up, ready for review by the Assistant Manager.

Producing accurate fund valuations and fund prices within set deadlines for review by the Assistant Manager.

Completing all relevant internal controls, checking the fund valuations and all components of the NAV.

Creating and maintaining complete and accurate fund accounting records.

Updating the accounting system for accruals/expenses/rebates.

Preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for review by the Assistant Manager.

Checking all periodic reports for completeness and accuracy prior to passing reports on for review.

Participation in user acceptance of new/upgraded software as required

The Person: You should have end to end knowledge of Pricing, how funds are priced and how this affects the value of the Funds. You will be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with the role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations. In addition, you will maintain the clients internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. You should be aware of regulations and rules which apply to the conduct of business in which you are involved. Industry knowledge is key and you will be educated to degree level and have the Securities Institute IAQ Award.
