Summary
As institutional investors and fund managers increasingly choose alternative asset classes, our position as a global leader allows State Street's Alternative Investment Solutions (AIS) to provide a complete suite of services to institutional investors, private equity fund managers and real estate fund managers.
We offer deep, product-specific expertise and flexible, innovative solutions for alternative investments, including fund accounting, fund administration, corporate administration, risk and client compliance services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervision of subordinate staff (if applicable)
- Assist / support adherence to Group, Division, Jurisdiction and Local policies
- Assist / support execution of specific procedures and controls
- Assist / support the management of existing client relationships
- Act as the first line of contact for client requests and escalate to management when operational issues arise
- Assist / support appropriate deployment of controlled resources
- Assist / support the performance management process
- Ensure subordinate staff (if applicable) are communicated with on a regular basis
Assist / support the following:
- New Business Take On- Supporting system set up, validation and liaising with appropriate shared services teams
- Client Service Delivery
- Dealing with daily client interaction, fielding and routing client requests to appropriate people/teams
- Support overall service delivery to clients and escalate issues where these come to light
- Work within SLA's
- Shared Services Oversight
- Ensure requests to the shared services teams are delivered on time
- Validate outputs produced by shared services teams in relation to requested actions
- Escalate any concerns re performance of shared services teams
- Reporting (Internal and External)
- Assist with the creation of internal or external reports
- Other Operational Activities
- Assist with internal and external projects, where an appropriate skill is required.
- Billing
- Ensure systems are fully and accurately populated in relation to entities worked on
- Ensure costs related to ad-hoc and bespoke client work are identified and captured
- Assist with the checking of client invoices ready for senior authorization
- Assist with chasing of debt
- Operations and Regulatory Control
- Assist management as required with risk assessments
- Assist management address internal and external audit findings.
- Operations Performance
- Assist with investigation and resolution of errors in area of responsibility
- Seek to identify areas where performance can be improved
In addition to the duties listed above, the Senior Administrator may be requested to deputise for their line manager and to perform any other ad hoc duties, tasks or projects as requested by line management.
Technical Knowledge/Skills Required/Attributes
- Good communication skills and the ability to resolve issues
- A service oriented disposition and the capacity to manage time of self and subordinates
- The confidence to challenge and contribute constructive alternatives
- The credibility to lead individuals / a small operations team
- The ability to construct and deploy rational arguments as a means to influence others
- To be positive in outlook and persuasive in approach
- An aptitude for leadership.
- Practical experience in the field of client operations /client administration to undertake assigned tasks with the minimum of direct supervision
- Ideally the post holder will hold or be working towards holding a relevant professional qualification at an appropriate level.
The position may require the post holder to supervise a team of people.
