Senior Fund Controller-Real Estate recruitment
THE COMPANY
Our client is an Investment Management company dedicated to to designing and executing Real Estate investment strategies that preserve capital and maximise return performance for its clients within three primary business lines: Collective Investment Vehicles, Direct Investments and Securities.
With nine offices throughout Europe, the business has over 250 professionals who are responsible for approximately Euro 18bn of assets under management.
THE ROLE
-All financial reporting including quarterly, annual and ad-hoc investor reports
-Management of the Fund group audit and monitoring of local statutory audits
-Management of the Fund Group local tax compliance requirements
-Performance monitoring
-Quartlerly update of historical cash data for property level fund level models, working closely with the asset management team
-Tax structuring and transaction support (financial and tax aspects of restructuring and disposals), working closely with the asset management teams
-Co-ordinating delivery of reports and performance management of local operating partners (JV partners/local service providers)
-Working alongside IT systems manager to provide training and efficient use of IT resources across the group
-Liaison with Debt Management team in monitoring of debt service and covenant compliance
-Fund capital/ cash flow control and management
-Overseeing the work of the Fund Controller, fund accountant and assistant fund accountant
THE PERSON
-Provide constructive leadership
-Work effectively and co-operatively as a team player
-Thoughtful and effective approach to problem solving
-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
-3+ years fund controller experience
-5+ years property fund accounting experience
-Excellent knowledge of IFRS and understanding of European local GAAP
-Multi-company consolidation experience
-European Tax structuring and transaction support experience
-Ability to manage and motivate others
-Strong analytical and IT skills
-Fluent in English
