Job Description
The FX Product Management team manages the development and ongoing support of Auto FX, Direct FX and PCO hedging services for WSS clients across EMEA, Western Hemisphere and Asia-Pacific.
This lead role is responsible for defining, owning and executing the Products business control and MIS capabilities to better drive forward the agenda and strategy.
The role will have line management responsibilities for a small team reporting into the Global FX Product Head within WSS This role offers an excellent opportunity for a strong VP looking to get a broad range of PL and business management experience within a markets led business.
Key Responsibilities:
Definition, assessment and communication of product strategy and business casesWorking with the regional and global teams be a driver and owner for the definition, assessment and documentation of new / enhanced product offering across all FX related products and services (Auto, Direct, PCO)Be the guardian of the products business cases and product assessment ideas to ensure rigorous and best in class business cases, opportunity sizing, competitive analysis and execution plans for each initiative.Drive and own the development of strategic business reviews and communication to senior management
Business Control EnvironmentOwn the business control environment (adherence to and testing of the FX business to regulatory requirements and commercial / contractual commitments to clients) for all FX products delivered to WSS clients, specific tasks
to include:Define the requirements for a robust business control frameworkDesigning, implementing and running appropriate controls and substantiation testsReporting, escalation and management of business control issuesOversight of end to end operating model across all partners and ensure the implementation of associated controlsAct as the business lead on all processes and issues related to the product company's PL, specifically this will include:The ownership and maintenance (joint with the IB) of the internal service level descriptions to define revenue and risk dynamics of each productStreamline and improve month end cycle with Finance to accurately manage the PL
MIS and Business IntelligenceWorking closely with the Finance and Client Management colleagues to define the requirements for internal business information and develop efficient and accurate methods to source and interpret dataUse the MIS to help shape and drive business decisions and strategyManage and obtain new business approvals for changes in the risk profile of the FX business

Qualifications
Required skills and backgroundStrong analytical skills in terms of data and financial processesExcellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and documentary (e.g. powerpoint) in order to syndicate messages with senior managementAttention to detail and able to drive a small team to achieve successful outcomesAble to work with a broad range of people and teams and influence and motivate the right outcome for the business
