Senior FX Quant Analyst
Location : Non UK Mainland Europe
The client activities are multi-site located across Europe working from Scandinavia, Germany, The Netherlands, Denmark and Poland. The client trades the full range of energy commodities : Electricity, Gas, Oil, Coal, Freight, Renewable Energies and Emissions, taking responsibility for a diversified sourcing of power, fuels and carbon credits and optimizing the running and hedging of the client’s generation assets.
Within the specific business unit Operations is responsible for providing Analysis, IT and Project Management support to the Vattenfall Asset Optimisation and Trading Division. The business unit is consisting of highly skilled employees with backgrounds ranging from Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, IT to Project Management. We are present in the locations Hamburg, Stockholm and Amsterdam.

Your responsibilities as a Senior Financial Quant Analyst :
- Developing and improving methodology for Foreign Exchange (FX) and Fixed Income related forward curves
- Providing expert advice and solutions in FX and Fixed Income related analysis topics
- Serving as point of contact for Treasury and Group Risk when it comes to FX and Fixed Income
- Ensuring top-class business support when it comes to FX and Fixed Income
Qualifications
- M.Sc in Engineering, Natural Science or similar
- At least 3 years work experience in financial or energy trading environment with focus on FX or Fixed Income related topics
- Sound mathematical skills and ability to grasp concepts behind mathematical models
- Willingness to acquire knowledge about and take part in the clients Trading System configuration related to FX and Fixed Income
- Fluency in English. German beneficial but not essential
- Willingness to travel
- Service-orientation and good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a structured way
