This organisation is a mid-sized engineering consultancy who pride themselves on a reputation of providing the highest levels of customer service and expertise. Experiencing significant growth in recent years they have developed a multidisciplinary presence in a number of engineering disciplines including structural, civil, geotechnical, building services, forensic and residential engineering. Having recently relocated to new modern Melbourne based offices they have also expanded their operation nationally.
They're currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team based just south of the CBD. You will be responsible for geotechnical assessments, field surveys, report writing and site classifications for construction planning. The successful candidate will be ear marked for a team lead role to be responsible for mentoring and managing people as well as helping to diversify the company and win new business.
The successful candidate will have a background as a Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist with extensive experience of Melbourne soils. You will have a proven ability to carry out site investigations and surveys as well as excellent technical report writing and AutoCAD based documentation abilities. You must be conversant with Australian standards and familiar with AS 2870 residential slabs footings, footing design, and familiarity with relevant computer softwares. Experience of having managed or mentored a team would be desirable.
