Position Overview:

Drive global triggered and transactional email product roll-out, enhancement, innovation, day to day ownership and key learning’s through in-depth analysis and marketing expertise.
Products owned and launched through this role will be global in nature and will drive revenue growth in North America, EMEA, APAC and LatAm.
This person will partner cross-functionally with other teams such as the brand, merchandising, call center, analysis product teams to maximise the value of the hotels.com global email programme.
This role will also interact with external email and design agencies to facilitate new product launches and campaign optimisation.
The ideal candidate must have extensive email marketing experience, strong technical analytical skills and excellent numerical reasoning. Experience of Business Objects, Omniture and other BI reporting suites is highly desirable.
This position reports to the Director of Global Customer Marketing

Responsibilities:

Manage global customer marketing strategy projects such as customer engagement campaigns and new triggered/transactional email product launches
Use analysis to drive key strategic product decisions across global email portfolio while working with various internal and external teams across EI to optimise email products
Continually develop, measure and optimise campaign and portfolio through rigorous testing and analysis
Compile and present key global email data to executive management team
Develop new communication strategies and products to optimise email programme, improve customer retention and drive incremental sales - triggered campaigns, lifecycle marketing programme etc.
Recommend implement new strategies, innovative ideas/technologies to grow the email channel
Work across departments and brands to bring new initiatives to fruition
Manage email project workflow - develop schedules, manage team to deadlines, gather approvals, work with IT resources for development, eliminate roadblocks etc.
Assist in driving global planning of email marketing across Hotels.com worldwide
Knowledge of relational databases, HTML and/or travel industry experience a plus

Knowledge, Skills Ability Required:
Essential
University Degree or equivalent experience
Extensive experience email marketing and ESPs (Exact Target, Cheetah Mail, Responsys etc)
Strong analytical skills and exposure to multivariate testing techniques Demonstrated attention to detail in dealing with complex projects and time-sensitive deliverables
Experience in presenting to senior management, technical specialists and external partners
Interpersonal skills to develop and strengthen relationships across job functionalities
Ability to anticipate issues, set priorities and proactively develop strong relationships both internally and externally
Exceptional attention to detail in executing complex projects and time-sensitive deliverables and high personal quality expectations
Proficient in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Knowledge of relational databases, HTML and/or travel industry experience a plus

Desirable
Experience in technology operations role, preferably in the e-commerce and/or online marketing space
Experience of managing multi-country campaigns
Experience working across multiple territories
Experience using CRM databases campaign management tools
Experience in the travel industry or on travel related accounts
