Senior Governance Manager

Overview:

We are seeking a strong operational risk/ governance manager to support and develop various controls across Europe.  This is an initial 3 month contract paying up to £350 per day 

Job Duties:

• Defining and embedding a programme that interprets the requirements of legal, regulatory and standards and thereafter designs and embeds effective controls to meet those requirements.

• Controlling the release of any control changes into the live environment, whilst protecting the existing live operational service.

• Working with the Business Quality and Operations Director and Country Heads of COO Control to ensure a consistent approach across GCOO and to shape the agenda of the department.

• Interpretation - to obtain information from internal and external sources and interpret governance and control requirements applicable to all Europe RBB COO Processes and Europe RBB products in each country / location.

• Design – to design controls to meet those governance requirements identified through interpretation.

• Implementation – to implement the controls into the control environment

• Embedding – to ensure the controls are embedded correctly into regular operations.

• Responsible for the performance management of all staff under their control (1:1s, performance management etc) in accordance with the standards.
• Provide clear direction of the COO business objectives translating and prioritising into business performance measures.

• Ensure all management and staff under their control has a clear understanding of their personal and team vision, mission, goals and objectives and their expected contribution.

• Understand, own and bring to life the Company Mission, Brand and Customer objectives.

• Be committed to championing the cultural change needed to re-enforce COO disciplines and ways of working across the countries and channels.

• Do things wholeheartedly, communicate with passion and enthusiasm, embracing change as a way of working.

• Pursue own development to increase personal effectiveness, acknowledging strengths and areas of development.
