Location: Birmingham (regional role covering Cambridge, Ipswich, Kettering, Leicester, Milton Keynes Norwich)
Type: Permanent, Full-time
Regular travel required
This is a new and exciting role for a Senior Graduate Recruitment Officer to work within a well-recognised, national professional services firm. This role has arisen as a result of a new exciting HR structure. You will be responsible for the attraction and selection of trainees for the firms.
Core responsibilities:
• Hiring top quality talent and driving the campus and school leaver strategy within your region
• Partnering with the Brand Officer to drive the trainee marketing strategy across relevant universities and social media
• Managing the school and university leaver strategy, attending and presenting at events where required
• Creating and managing relationships at universities e.g. Career services, departments and societies
• Driving and managing the alumni, school leaver and ambassador teams
• Building and developing relationships with key contacts across peers and the education sector to build market knowledge
• Ensuring that the right business representatives are sourced, briefed and coached
• Contributing to and driving representatives to engage in the social media strategy
• Educating and engaging the business on brand and selection
• Running season kick off meetings and the on-going engagement of the business for trainee branding
• Acting as the main contact for the business and ensuring a distinctive client service is delivered
• Line managing and coaching the recruitment officer ensuring that they are developed and high performing
• Coaching and overseeing activities of relevant shared service team members
• Continually monitoring the efficiency and effectiveness of the departments processes and suggest improvements / implementing improvements
• Ensuring high quality feedback is delivered to all candidates after the final round
• Being the main point of contact for the offered candidates and maintaining contact with ex interns
• Driving the pipeline for the region and planning assessments and activities accordingly
• Partnering with the business to plan, organise and execute pipeline programmes across the region
• Budgeting management for the universities
Ideally you will:
• Have a strong understanding of the graduate market and external network to enable you to bring in expertise and create new opportunities for the firm
• Have experience of graduate and pipeline programme recruitment
• Have strong presentation, sales and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Have the ability to lead, manage and motivate teams
• Be an experience graduate recruitment professional that thrives on working in a fast paced environment
• Have a solid understanding of the graduate recruitment landscape (education system, qualifications, skill set requirements by division etc)
• Have the ability to influence and engage with senior stakeholders and possess strong commercial client driven skills
• Have the ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple tasks during the trainee recruitment busy periods
• Be a strong team player with positive personal impact
• Be knowledgeable and able to engage with social media marketing
• Be creative, a strong influencer ad highly credible
• Have the ability to work to high standards and exceed targets
• Possess strong graduate recruitment experience and the ability to manage high volume candidate operations
