Job Specifics:

PetCareRx’s busy, growing, in house creative department is looking for a graphic designer with excellent digital design skills and commercial advertising experience. Job responsibilities will entail designing email graphics, banners, landing pages, print ads and direct mail. Qualifying candidates  must have examples of these types of deliverables in their portfolio and be fluent in Photoshop, InDesign, etc. Candidates must also have intermediate knowledge of HTML and CSS as it pertains to email deliverability and presentation best practices.

 

Job Requirements and Necessary Skills:

 

  Bachelor's degree in fine arts, graphic design or a related field

  Five to seven years of job-related experience (in-house creative department or agency setting preferred)

  Strong portfolio that highlights excellent creative commercial design skills along with attention to detail, quality and proofreading

  Excellent typography skills

  Respect for the firm's brand, understanding of how to design within a corporate brand and maintain brand style across all media

  Ability to design quickly without sacrificing attention to detail

  Expert proficiency with Photoshop, Dreamweaver and InDesign. (Illustrator, Flash, and other web-design programs a plus)

  Proficiency with HTML, CSS and FTP

  Flexible approach and constantly looking for new ideas

  Must be a self-starter and work well with the team

  Ability to work on assignments from concept to completion and execute all steps in between

  Strong communication and project management skills, along with the ability to work under constant deadlines

  Working knowledge of print production

  Proficiency with MS Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and Adobe Acrobat  preferred
