Position Information Position Information Working Title Senior Graphic Designer Job Classification Communications II Department Name 23010-Engr-Office of the Dean Job Type Staff Position Number 0129720 Hiring Range $24,732.00 - $39,576.00 Position Description Under the supervision of the SSoE Director of Marketing Communications, this position is responsible for creation, planning, and analysis of creative print solutions that meet the marketing and communications needs of SSoE. Candidate will be responsible for creating distinctive marketing material for print and electronic media using color, type, illustration, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniques. Candidate will develop the overall layout and production design of the School s print material, including but not limited to admission materials, alumni development publications, magazines, reports, brochures and other school publications as required. This position will be responsible for supervising marketing and communications interns hired by the Director of Marketing and Communications. The Senior Graphic Designer will also work directly with Department Chairs and other senior administrators within SSoE. The preferred candidate will possess a Bachelors or Associates Degree in design or art from an NASAD accredited school, or a Bachelor s Degree in design, art or other related area from a 4-year college or university. In addition, 3-5 years of experience in graphic design, layout and print production is required. Understanding of and experience with different formats for printing and design. Proficiency in Macintosh systems, Illustrator, Photoshop and Quark. Experience in a higher education setting is preferred but not required.
