Position Description:
POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a senior GUI developer to be focused on the development of PIMCO??s FX systems. A qualified candidate should be highly motivated, self-starter who is able to work well independently as well as in a team environment. The candidate should demonstrate an advanced level of understanding of GUI design concepts and client-server architecture. The successful candidate will excel at taking personal responsibility and ownership of all project assignments.
Primary responsibilities will include:
o Develop front end application using WPF and .net framework.
o Design the user interfaces and processes that maximize the user experience.
o Work with stakeholders to understand and document software requirements and ensure applications are developed according to specifications.
o Collaborate with server developers and project managers to complete, thoroughly test, and deliver innovative software solutions.
o Troubleshoot data or software issues and be able to rapidly implement fixes.
o Gain a detailed understanding of PIMCO??s FX operation and provide high level of support and functional assistance to end users.
Position Requirements:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
?¢ Bachelor??s degree in computer science or design with 5 years of GUI development experience.
?¢ Strong object oriented GUI programming skills using the Microsoft .Net framework and WPF.
?¢ Good understanding of interface design concepts.
?¢ Strong, hands-on, experience using SQL.
?¢ Familiar with major GUI vendors such as Infragistics, Telerik, or DevExpress is a plus.
?¢ High degree of initiative and enthusiasm ?" must learn PIMCO??s detailed processes and technologies that support FX and Trade floor operation.
?¢ Proactive about recognizing potential improvements or impending problems.
?¢ Superb interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.
