This is a newly created role, and the HR function is considered strategically and operationally critical for the organisation.
Key responsibilities will include responsibility for delivering HR insight from a strategic perspective. You will also implement and coordinate operational HR practices and strategies across the full suite of HR functions.
Areas of responsibilities will include:
- Developing and delivering broad HR strategies and policies at strategic level
- Support the senior management team with strategic and operational HR advice
- Coach senior management in developing organisational capabilities and high performance culture
- Champion HR practices that will align culture and people performance with the objectives of the organization
- Develop and implement the performance management system
- Develop and support the implementation of people development and training initiatives
- Manage the recruitment and selection processes and implement induction programs
- Provide up to date information on remuneration and awards
- Develop and implement WHS system
- Oversee the payroll function
- Report on all relevant HR issues and provide analysis as required
Experience
- A minimum of 8-10 years’ experience within a generalist human resources role at Manager level
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or closely related relevant discipline
- Sound understanding of current employment and workplace legislation in Australia
- Proven track record in driving positive cultural and organisational development
- Ability to deliver key HR projects that influence operational and strategic aspects of an organisation
