Senior HRIS Analyst (12 month fixed term contract) McGraw-Hill – London recruitment

The Senior HRIS Analyst will be responsible for data management and data related services, including first Tier MSS (Manager Self-Service) support, across all EMEA HR systems and ensuring compliance with legal requirements and provisions in relation to data privacy. Provision of a comprehensive reporting and analytics service for EMEA, developing meaningful and progressive decision support materials.
Management and improvement of HR processes and services across EMEA, maximising the effective use of technology. Ensuring effective use of the intranet to communicate HR policy, services and initiatives, supporting wider communications activity where appropriate.
Significant involvement in major global and EMEA projects, including the implementation of HR systems, Business Separation and Mergers and Acquisitions.
Key responsibilties:
Data Management
- Ensure data collection, data maintenance and reporting practices remain in line with Global Company requirements and European legislation with focus on employee data privacy and regional data protection legislation.
- Identify and implement new data collection practices to enhance current reporting and analysis capabilities to meet ongoing business requirements.
- Provision of a Tier 1 shared service support for HRIS Manager Self Service (MSS) and provide position management expertise.
Reporting and Analysis
- Manage the development and delivery of monthly headcount and turnover reports.
- Provide a comprehensive and co-ordinated management information service to the HR team, Finance Group (EMEA and Global), EMEA Regional Practice Leaders, Office Heads and teams across all ranges of data issues.
- Oversee the development of an EMEA/ Asiapac HR dashboard with leading KPI's in line with Global People Index and Analytics working group.
Process Improvement and Intranet
- Support the HR Intranet Communications Analyst in the analysis of HR processes to maximize efficiencies and mitigate risk, using technology where possible to support these aims.
- Undertake risk assessments and recommend changes and additional audit steps to further mitigate risk. Using project management tools, Business Process Management (BPM) and Lean Six Sigma techniques where appropriate
- Support EMEA HR Intranet Communications Analyst in the development of the EMEA HR intranet, Buzz and HR portal and knowledgebase project.
HR Systems and Projects
- Support HRIS Manager in respect of Workday, Silkroad and Northgate Arinso implementation projects
- Support the roll out of new Northgate Arinso Global payroll solution with particular emphasis on HR gross compensation data feeds, data privacy and HR audit controls.
- Support the Mcgraw-Hill Education business separation activity with database refreshes, HRIS system updates and legal entity expertise.
- Support HRIS Manager in developing "leading" predictive Human Capital HR analytics and where necessary engage with external partners to deliver system solution and exploit market expertise.
- Support MA project team in respect of data requirements and system uploads for new acquisitions.
Skills
- Experience in HR data management. Strong HR information/reporting systems and KPI background.
- Possess a detailed understanding of HR processes and best practice techniques. Maintain a strong understanding of technology and continuously update new technologies.
- Fully competent professional in the field of HR Data Analysis and Reporting.
- Expert-level Excel skills required; database (e.g., Access) experience; and proficient in all other Microsoft office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Project).
- Excellent interpersonal skills will be necessary to effectively leverage all levels of management. Strong communication skills and a consultative style are critical in order to coordinate resources across multiple functions.
- Ability to interpret and problem solve complex information issues, utilizing initiative to develop practical solutions.
- Demonstrated passion for accuracy and detail-orientation.
- The individual must be able to prioritize their activities with minimal supervision. They must maintain a high level of creativity in their roles and be able to present their rationale to others.
- A sound understanding of UK employment legislation and awareness of European wide employment legislation.
- Understanding of Business Process Management (BPM) or Lean Six Sigma methodologies - advantage.
- Knowledge and Experience of Lawson HRIS Workday preferable.
