The HRIS Consultant creates and effectively implements technology strategy to achieve the Human Resources vision by moving the HR organization from its current to future state of technology, business process, and system optimization. The Consultant is responsible for providing the vision, leadership, planning, and project management for the effective delivery and continued development of HR Information Systems as well as possessing a comprehensive understanding of the HR function, priorities, and processes in order to support effective decision-making through HRIS functionality.
Key Accountabilities:
- Key contributor in implementing HRIS strategies and creating efficiencies using automation and process redesign in Human Resources.
- Collaborates closely with Human Resources and internal customers to ensure processes, systems, and functionality meet the end-user and business needs.
- Identifies opportunities to maximize user efficiencies in all HRIS systems and works to implement those improvements.
- Recommends tests, trains, documents, implements and plans for improvements, enhancements, and new applications to various systems.
- Assists in managing HR technology projects and systems, ensuring that the value proposition for each HRIS project supports HR and corporate strategy
- Manages vendor transitions and performs vendor management activities required by the SAAS model (Workday) and outsource payroll vendor provider (ADP) for the core HRIS system as well as other hosted vendors
- Designs and implements system integration plans, ensuring that new web applications will effectively and accurately interface with the core HRIS and corporate systems
- Provides technical, operations, and training support to users of HRIS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in HR, HRIS or Information Systems or related experience.
- Strong technical and working knowledge of HRIS applications, theory and practice.
- Solid project management skills and working knowledge of systems development methodology.
- Advanced technical skills in the areas of relational database management, reporting software and general office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to foster strong relationships with peers and leaders.

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties to achieve most critical business needs first and manage multiple projects in an organized fashion.
