SAIC currently has an opening for a Senior Human Terrain Analyst supporting operations for US CENTCOM at MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL JOB DESCRIPTION: POSITION REQUIRES A CURRENT TOP SECRET CLEARANCE WITH SCI ACCESS. As a Senior Human Terrain (HT) Analyst, candidate will provide comprehensive support to USCENTCOM Center of Excellence (COE) on all Human Terrain Analysis issues; identification of tribes, activities, tribal ties, etc. The candidate will unite theoretical concepts in academia from behavioral psychology, social psychology, cultural anthropology, social geography, social network analysis (SNA), history, economics and political science with empirical research of concern to USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR). Candidate will create geospatially-referenced products of social groups in an area of operation through data-mining and data-basing socio-cultural information on individuals, by grouping them according to social-scientific principles from various sources; to include Open Source. As an HT Analyst, candidate will leverage Geographic Information Systems to visually represent social groups, integrating social science theories and principles into an all-source environment. Candidate will collaborate with Intelligence Community human factors, human terrain and social-cultural communities of interest to acquire sources of information not readily available through traditional mediums. Study traditional aspects of culture, making elements of it actionable by focusing on the geospatial aspects of tribal, religious, ethnic, racial, linguistic, occupational and other social groups. Candidate will stringently vet all information through all qualitative and quantitative means when possible and measure the reliability of links between entities and locations. As an HT Analyst, candidate will perform social network analysis used to examine patterns of communication that are based on relationships to explore valuable informal information pathways. Candidate will be responsible for briefing team members on the links and gaps of target activities. Perform detailed fusion analysis on research holding and collaborating with geospatial analysts in the construction of geo-social data layers. Provide socio-cultural expertise during product construction and brief their respected areas during leadership reviews and product delivery presentations. Candidate will be responsible for all-source intelligence (i.e. HUMINT, IMINT, SIGINT, MASINT and OSINT) on issues supporting USCENTCOM's AOR. As an HT Analyst, candidate will be responsible for Human Terrain Analysis (HTA) products that address the social-cultural and human environmental factors essential to understanding all aspects of Arabic and Islamic culture and other environmental factors that would influence and / or foster terrorism in the USCENTCOM AOR. Candidate will work directly with customers and team members to research, evaluate, analyze, fuse and interpret reporting from multiple sources to produce current and finished intelligence, leveraging message retrieval and sorting applications. Candidate will carry out detailed fusion analysis on research holding, while collaborating on geospatial assessments and briefings for customers and advise key leadership of intelligence issues and challenges as appropriate. Candidate will coordinate and interact with analysts from service component, DoD and national-level intelligence agencies. Qualifications: REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: Bachelor's degree or higher and at least 8 years of relevant intelligence experience and specialized training. Prior HTA or All-Source experience in military organizations or commercial enterprises is a must. Candidate must be moderately knowledgeable of intelligence disciplines, organizations, and related intelligence IT applications. 25 years of relevant military experience may substitute for a degree. DESIRED SKILLS: Individual will have working knowledge of intelligence analysis applications, tools and systems. An extensive understanding of Social Network Analysis tools (SpyGLAS, Organizational Risk Analyzer, UCI Net, etc.) The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Working knowledge of a variety of Message Retrieval and Sorting (BMQ) Systems. Experience working Social Science Statistical Analysis (SPSS), Predictive Analysis Applications (Signature Analyst), Signature / Pattern Detection (Signature Analyst), Geospatial Visualization and Analysis and Modeling Tools (ERDAS, ENVI, Remote View or ELT 500).
