Senior Industrial Economist recruitment
As part of the Corporate Research team, the role of the Economist is to identify, collate and analyse key Micro-industry data in support of their
sector specialist teams.
You will work closely with the corporate credit teams to identify key variables that drive operational and financial performance at the sector level.
Working closely with the macro-economics team, you will collate industry data, form micro-economic views and formulate baseline views for these key indicators for coming quarters as well as relevant sensitivities.
The role will require regular and topical publication of corporate credit research.
Skills and experience required:
The suitable candidate will have a strong Micro Economics academic and professional background.
Relevant and in depth research experience in industrial economics with detailed understanding of available data sources in Europe and UK is essential for this role.
Strong analytical mindset and excellent quantitative skills.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain accessible databases.
Financial modelling skills with an emphasis on financial forecasting.
Some specific corporate sector research experience would be an advantage.
Excellent communicator, with practical experience of building effective working relationships across cultures/geographies in a collegial, yet demanding, environment.
Familiarity with Business Objects preferred.
