Senior Information Security Specialist recruitment
This is a new role within APAC acting as the APAC Regional Information Security Officer (RISO). The primary responsibility of the role is to work in partnership with the Global Divisional Information Security Officers, IT and the APAC business in order to ensure that the required Information Security services are delivered across the region and IS risks and issues are effectively managed and mitigated.
Given that this is a new function within the region, the incumbent will initially have no direct reports and is expected to take a very “hands on” approach to resolving the current Information Security priorities within the region.
The specific tasks of the role include:
- Coordination of the regional APAC ISO organization (Information Owner Custodians)
- Manage and coordinate the delivery of information security services across the region including: data classification, data loss prevention, data inventories, logical access controls, information security awareness education, incident management, exception management, regional subject-matter expert.
- Act as the APAC representation for the Group Information Security Officer including regional coordination with regional IT Security, IT Risk and Group Security Forensic Services.
- Contribute to information security requirements and represent APAC region in the inter-divisional working groups (e.g. for policy development).
- Produce APAC IS reporting, incl. IS threats, audit, risk and regulatory issues.
- Support the regional business with regards Information Security topics and oversee and ensure proper risk remediation of IS risk/themes.
Our requirements:
- Experienced Information Security Manager with 8+ years of experience in IS or similar subject-matter related track-record allowing for lateral career entry.
- Proactive and consistently shows initiative.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to take personal ownership for issues and drive remediation.
- Excellent problem analysis skills and solution synthesis.
- Highest personal integrity.
- Transparent and action oriented.
- Ability to quickly understanding and priority setting according to technical as well as strategic considerations.
- Experience of working under pressure without impact on the quality of deliverables/results.
- Negotiation capability in English and preferably in Mandarin
- University degree preferably with post graduate education/degrees in the following areas: Information and Communication Technology (ICT), IT Security, Organizational Development and (Operational) Risk Management, Project Management, Leadership and Communication/Presentation.
