My client requires 2 Senior Infrastructure Operations Consultant's ASAP for an initial 12 month contract on a new project.
The role includes:
Provide operational support, maintenance and drive improvement of Linux Operating Systems and associated infrastructure (VMware, Weblogic, Oracle, etc).
This specifically includes:
- Participate in Open System Team's involvement in TMCA's ITIL processes.
- ISD consists of 5 streams: Business Development, Solutions Delivery, Service Delivery, Strategy, Performance Governance and Architecture Strategy.
- The Service Delivery stream is responsible for the delivery of all end-user services and the support of all IT Infrastructure and application software.
- Service Delivery consists of 2 departments: End-User Services Support, and Infrastructure.
- The Infrastructure department is responsible for the provisioning and management of all IT Infrastructure.
Infrastructure consists of 3 sections: Networks Security, Operations, and Infrastructure Planning Projects. This role resides with the Operations with specific responsibilities for Open Systems. This team is responsible for business-as-usual operation of existing infrastructure, focussing on availability, maintainability, reliability and supportability in a quality and cost-effective manner.
Infrastructure Planning Projects is responsible for all change to this infrastructure, including acting as a "window person" into Infrastructure for customers outside Infrastructure, implementing version/capacity upgrades and other Kaizen improvements.
