Senior Instrumentation Controls Engineer
Location: Sarnia, On N7S6L2
Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a team of Instrumentation and Controls Engineers from FEED through scoping and detailed engineering to construction;
- Define scope of activities, assign workloads, review and implement standards/procedures;
- Estimating and Budgeting for Instrumentation and controls scope for all phases of a project;
- Check the instrumentation and controls layout designs, quality of engineering documentation and installation, conduct analysis needed;
- Liaise with clients, vendors, engineers, and other disciplines;
- Keep to agreed schedules and budgets for all deliverables;
- Lead, mentor, guide and build a high performance motivated team;
- Participate in the professional development of less experienced members of the department/team.
Requirements:
- 10-15 years experience in instrumentation and controls for chemical or petrochemical industries;
- Working knowledge of codes, standards, regulations and practices;
- Excellent organizational, communication, time management, and problem solving skills.
Reporting and Location
- Reporting to the Manager, Instrumentation Electrical Engineering.
- Position is located in Sarnia, Ontario.
