Job Summary
The Senior Interactive Designer supports the Associate Director or Web Strategy by assisting with executing a wide range of internet-based initiatives including website concept development, front-end web development and maintenance using HTML, XHTML, DHTML, CSS, JQuery, JavaScript and final execution of project requirements. As a member of the Marketing team, works cross-functionally with partners that include: Creative, Communications, and IT to ensure brand-right experience and technically sound deliverables.
Essential Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities
Job Requirements
* Essential Requirements:
Education:
* A Bachelor's Degree in MIS, CIS, CS or Communications or equivalent experience
Experience:
* 8 + years experience in web development, programming, software and application development
* Experience with writing / modifying relational database queries (SQL)
* Experience with client-side web development and maintenance using HTML, XHTML, DHTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Some experience with source code control systems.
Skills:
* Understanding of mobile applications and optimized CSS development
* Excellent knowledge of HTML, XHTML, DHTML, CSS, JQuery, JavaScript
* Excellent knowledge of internet best practices and user experience
* Understanding of use cases
* Cross browser compliance testing
* Unit test code produced as determined by the project requirements and Associate Director of Web Strategy
* Understanding of APIs
* Understanding of social integration strategies
* Ability to communicate issues and challenges in a timely manner to Associate Director, Web Strategy, PMO or IT (both verbally and/or in writing)
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented and creative environment
* A strong eye towards what is next and innovative
* Creative and Imaginative skills required
* Ability to produce results independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
* Familiarity with ASP .NET and DotNetNuke a plus
