My client is a well-known international Insurance Broker based in the City of London. Due to the team size expanding the European and UK Internal Audit function is now recruiting for an experienced Senior Internal Auditor.

As a Senior Internal Auditor you will report into the Audit Manager and be responsible for leading audits across the business. You will be expected to travel across the EMEA region and will be expected to travel up to 40-50% a year. The role of Senior Internal Auditor will see you responsible for conducting the following audits; Operational audits, financial audits, compliance audits and special projects audits.

This opportunity provides a great first step into industry, either as a stepping stone into a different area of the company or as a long term career that gives you fast progression up the ranks with many auditors going on to be FDs or Heads of in various insurance areas. Unique to audit you will have a broad perspective of the entire company, something only very senior executives have and will make daily recommendations to senior stakeholders on key strategic business areas. You will carry out reviews and ensure that your advice is acted upon. The personal impact across a global organisation is an attribute few other jobs can give.

Ideal Candidate

· Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance or related business fields.
· Strong audit experience (internal audit a plus) - compliance, insurance broking, or consulting auditing experience is considered a plus; ·
· Strong communication and presentation skills.
· Working towards a professional qualification, ACA, ACCA.

This would suit someone currently in practice seeking their first Internal Audit role within the Insurance
