A well-known retail company is looking for a talented Senior Internal Auditor to add to their team. In this position, the person will: Performs internal audit work of a basic to moderately complex nature (e.g. reviews quarterly operating results, test SOX controls, assess key business process, risks and controls, performs special projects/management requests, etc.). Creates work products (e.g. narratives, walk throughs, test of transactions, audit analysis, audit reports, etc.) that document the audit procedures performed, the findings/observations noted and the results of those procedures. Assists in the execution of the annual Audit Plan. Interacts with and provides direct assistance work to the external auditors.
The perfect candidate will possess: A Bachelor's degree in business related fields. 3 + years minimum previous related, applicable experience, with at least 1 year in public accounting preferred and int'l business experience with US based multi-national highly desirable. Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, etc.) is mandatory. Proficiency in Auditing and Sox compliance Well-developed analytical, interpersonal, and communication (both written and oral) skills. Foreign language abilities and international business experience are desired but not mandatory. Spanish or Portuguese a plus. Ability to travel within the United States and abroad. 10% - 20% travel. Possesses strong project management skills and demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power Point. Experience in retail and/or wholesale industries a plus.
