Job Description
The senior internal auditor will be responsible to plan, perform and report on internal audits and special projects of the business across the Asia Pacific region. The position reports to Head of Internal Audit – Asia Pacific.
The role will focus on minimizing risk through assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, governance framework and risk management practices by complying with IIA standards, completing risk based annual audit plans, performing financial and operational reviews and providing value adding advice to senior management.
Key eligibility criteria
- University degree in either Finance or Accounting
- Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant and/or Certified Internal Auditor (preferred)
- Minimum of 4-5 years internal audit experience gained in a commercial environment or big 4 firm in Singapore or a mature market
- Prior experience in insurance industry preferred.
- Experience in performing audits in the Asia Pacific region is a plus
- Intermediate level or greater competence in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- ACL / CAAT experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform operational and financial audits.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Report writing skills
