Senior Internal Investigative Auditor
We are seeking a Senior Internal Investigative Auditor for an established and market leading Financial Services business based in London. The role focuses on investigations of allegations of employee or agent misconduct, financial irregularities, auditing and internal control issues.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Strong Accounting background with some financial investigative experience
- Degree level qualified in Accounting and / or CPA designation
- Studying towards/qualified ACCA/ACA/IIA (or equivalent) is highly preferred
- Financial services industry experience
- Superior Microsoft Office skills: Excel, Word, Access PowerPoint and ability to learn software packages quickly
Desirable:
- Certification such as CIA / CISA / CFE / CFSA
- Language skills beneficial.

The Senior Investigative Auditor will have the following key responsibilities:
- Plan, lead and execute investigations and special reviews with a moderate level supervision (relevant to the years of experience)
- Review and document client processes, procedures, and control environment
- Understand how key risks and controls impact the business from an operational, accounting and/or systems perspective
- Identify internal audit risks, investigative concerns and carry out appropriate testing or investigative procedures
- Draft reports detailing work performed and conclusions reached
- Provide a clear message, ensuring that reports and conclusions are presented in an easily comprehensible manner, proposing corrective action and remediation plans where necessary
- Perform fraud risk assessments in conjunction with audit planning, and identify fraud risks and discuss risk and control implications
- Periodic monitoring of operational or financial data to recognize patterns and trends, investigate anomalies, and assess internal control environment
- Present fraud awareness training to corporate and business colleagues across EMEA
- The investigative work may require travel, depending on the location of the conduct at issue.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly reporting to Senior Management and the Audit Committee.
