Senior International Trade Compliance Manager
Hays are working in partnership with UTC Aerospace who has a rare and exciting opportunity to join their business as a Senior International Trade Compliance Manager.
As a senior leader, the chosen individual shall be responsible for managing all International Trade Compliance activities for UTC Aerospace Systems’ Actuation and Propeller Systems Business Unit (which includes sites in France, Italy, UK, Morocco, and the United States).
Assigned duties:
• Manage International Trade Compliance function at business unit level for all sites.
• Interface with regulatory authorities in accordance with UTC guidelines.
• Manage business unit agreement and license activity (US ITAR, EAR as well as non-US licenses) including preparation, application and post approval management phases.
• Lead compliance investigations, disclosures and audits including remedial measures and corrective action implementation.
• Manage import compliance program for all sites
• Manage site self-assessments and ACE activity
• Manage business unit facility security and technology control plan requirements for all sites
• Manage business unit technology classification and export authorisation requirements
The successful candidate will have working knowledge and experience with the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), EU Import and Export Regulations (with a focus on the UK, France and Italy) and US Customs and Import regulations
Thorough understanding of the Commerce Control List (CCL) contained in the EAR and the United States Munitions List (USML) contained in the ITAR, the Harmonised Tariff Schedule / Code as well as the Wassenaar Dual Use Goods and Technologies and Munitions List
In order to be considered for this position, you will need a minimum of 5 years International Trade Compliance experience with the ability to motivate, develop and manage direct reports.
You will need to poses excellent management skills and to drive functional excellence at business unit level.
