Senior Investment Actuarial Compliance Manager recruitment

UK Retail Risk's focus is to deliver a world class Risk Management framework to support our objective of becoming the UK's most Helpful and Sustainable bank.  The Retail Compliance team contributes to this by ensuring fair outcomes for customers; supporting the business through regulatory change; assuring first line compliance with regulations and standards; understanding how our industry is likely to evolve; and operating transparent, proactive and open relationship with our regulators.

As Senior Investment Actuarial Compliance Manager you will be responsible for maximising the effectiveness of Compliance arrangements concentrating on the processes, controls and governance for stress testing and stochastic modelling in the development, and ongoing management, of Investment Products within UK Retail (circa £9bn assets under management). You will proactively manage relationships with First Line Of Defence (FLOD) Risk functions in areas of responsibility, and with key Executive/Senior Management in all areas of relevant outsourced entities to exceed the requirements of FSA SYSC outsourcing requirements along with having compliance oversight of all aspects of Retail Stockbroking, including relevant outsourced entities.

We require you to have experience in the financial services industry in an investment and/or risk environment as well as being a qualified actuary, accountant or chartered financial analyst.  You will need to have a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory environment preferably gained by practical experience, with particular reference to one or more of Collective Investment Schemes, Managed Portfolios, Trusts and Estates, Retail Stockbroking, PEP/ISA Administration, Structured Products, and the use and control of derivatives.
