Senior Investment Analyst U.S. Equity recruitment
SEI’s Investment Management Unit (IMU) has an opening for a senior analyst to assist with their US Equity manager of managers’ strategies. The objective of our products is to deliver the benefits of active management in a consistent fashion to help clients meet their unique objectives.
This role has the following core responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct in-depth due diligence visits with third-party managers with a focus on assessing competitive advantage.
- Compose cogent, refutable investment theses for each recommended manager focusing on process edge rather than process description.
- Well-versed generalist of active management processes, both quantitative and fundamental, growth and value.
- Training and mentoring of more junior analysts.
- This role also carries a long-term responsibility to help further develop and implement a process driven culture in a constructive fashion. Delivering convictions with an open mind and the ability to work well in a team environment is essential.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate a broad investment background rather than a narrow specialization in any particular process or school of thought.
Required Experience/Skills:
- MBA and/or CFA preferred.
- At least 5 years experience in manager of manager industry or similar investments experience.
- Strong sense of initiative and desire for accountability.
This position will be based at corporate headquarters in Oaks, PA. Travel will be required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email.
