Senior Investment Communications Manager

The Senior Investment Communications Manager will be responsible for investment communications and the delivery of wide ranging written investment content for marketing materials that support the firm's overall business goals. The successful candidate will be expected to be a brand guardian for Matthews and a leading editorial voice for the organization. He/she will be responsible for determining
editorial strategy with the distribution team and deliver a wide range of investment communications materials for both retail and institutional audiences.This is an opportunity for an outstanding candidate to develop and shape the investment communications team within a fast-growing investment manager and play a leading role in ensuring a consistent message is applied across all marketing literature.

 

Specific Responsibilities include:
•Develop content for product launches, campaigns, web/social media, multi-media and PR opportunities
•Conceptualize, research, write and edit content for a wide range of marketing materials for various audiences
•Build a high-quality library of product literature that can be used by the global distribution team
•Act as a writing and editing resource to the Marketing team, ensuring high quality and accurate materials are being
 produced by the company
•Work closely with the Marketing team, as well as other business units, to gain pertinent background for a project or
 campaign prior to writing, and conceptualize on strategic, goals and key messages
•Contribute to the Marketing team's efforts to ensure consistency in the company's voice, key messages and editorial style
•Edit and proof marketing materials prior to printing/release to ensure they are error-free, adhere to established standards
and uphold the Firm's brand image
Reporting Relationships: This position will report to our Senior Vice President of Marketing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor's degree required, preferably in English, Business, Communications or Finance 
•Minimum five years experience as an investment writer, covering both equity and fixed income asset classes
•Extensive knowledge of financial markets and investment/financial concepts, with ability to understand and communicate
 product strategy
•Exceptional writing skills to help create a wide range of communication materials aimed at various audiences
•Demonstrate ability to capture complex ideas and express them in a clear, concise and engaging writing style
•Ability to incorporate feedback and ideas from team members
•Ability to work at a fast pace with strong attention to detail, highly organized and strong project management skills
•Must be able to work in a team based environment; both within Marketing as well as other parts of the organization
•Strong work ethic and ability to work independently when necessary
•Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact with all levels of staff and management
•Creativity--able to recommend new and unique ideas
•Strong PC skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
