As a Senior Investment Consultant, you will be responsible for leading and managing a portfolio of investment consulting clients and providing first class advice on a range of services. These include: strategic setting of investment objectives, strategic asset allocation, investment management structures, manager selection, performance measurement and evaluation, investment manager monitoring, custodian selection, transition advice, statements of investment policy and global research services.
You will have significant responsibilities for the continuing growth of the practice and will be expected to deliver new work with existing clients as well as attract new business.
Performance Objectives:
Financial
Primary accountability for creating and executing a business strategy
Penetrate designated markets
Develop and maintain relationships with key target clients to ensure their awareness of TW offerings and investment services
Introduce new clients to the firm in order to meet annual revenue goals
Identify opportunities to cross-sell new products and services
Coordinate with existing sales and Client Relationship Management teams to identify, develop and close strategic sales opportunities
Clients
Lead Investment Consulting client engagements, ensuring full and proper resourcing of the team, quality of work and timely delivery of advice and services
Develop plans for execution of large scale engagements
Establish a trusted advisor role with clients and provide consistent, superior relationship management
Lead and manage multiple client teams
Provide a wide range of services to trustees, investment sub-committees and corporate sponsors
Liaise closely with senior client contacts, fund managers and other areas of the firm
Engage specialist advice as appropriate
Excellence
Provide first class advice in relation to the design, implementation and monitoring of investment strategies based on modern portfolio theory, including the use of derivative instruments
Perform final high level review of work prior to delivery
Identify opportunities in the market to develop new tools and techniques
People
Demonstrate extensive leadership ability by mentoring other consultants
Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
Thorough understanding of the global institutional investment industry, its drivers and future direction
Insight into practical issues of investment management organisations (investment process, organisational structure and people, marketing, business management and strategy)
Strong client focus and proven track record of managing client relationships
Experience in a client-service environment; demonstrated ability to understand the needs of a client and translate into action
Ability to grasp issues and offer innovative solutions
Team player comfortable in a professional services environment with the ability to effectively debate and subsequently influence internally externally at all levels
Track record of managing teams to deliver high quality work
Problem-solver and lateral thinker with a creative and analytical approach
Proven experience successfully managing multiple projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget
Undergraduate degree; relevant professional qualifications such as CFA, FIA or equivalent preferred
