Senior Investment Manager Loans recruitment

Your main responsibilities

• Building and/or using your network in order to source the loans that fit the clients portfolios
• Negotiate and structure loans to build up the portfolio.
• Focus on transaction execution and product development
• Liaison internally with Legal, Accounting, Operations, and Audit departments and externally (Government services and agencies, Supra-national institutions)

Your experience and skills

• Ability to quickly build a network to source the required loans
• The capacity to structure a portfolio or portfolios that fit within client mandates
• Good knowledge of financial instruments (especially derivatives), legal and accounting
• Keen interest in Solvency II and Basel III developments
• Creative mind with strong analytical skills and the ability to express and communicate views
• Dedicated, deal/result oriented
• Team player, but accountable
• University Degree with knowledge of quantitative-research and trade modelling (advanced Excel,VBA or C++ is a plus)
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)

• Ability to convince in an easy manner

Your team and challenge

The Fixed Income Insurance department (Boutique) of ING Investment Management Europe manages a broad range of investment strategies for in-house and third party insurance companies.
The loan team will build up a portfolio of loans for the ING Insurance companies and likely also for third party insurance companies.
As the loan market is very broad the initial focus will be on (investment grade) parts of project finance market, but also niches like Export Credit Agency loans.
Key is that the loans fit the clients balance sheet from a capital solvency and an accounting perspective.
