Senior Investment Officer – Private Equity recruitment
The Investment Team is managing a well-diversified global portfolio of alternative assets, comprising private equity, real estate, and hedge funds. Exposure to PE and RE is obtained through funds but increasingly also through direct investments and co-investments. The investment strategy is aggressive and based on a disciplined approach and tight risk management. The performance target is highly aggressive on an annualized return basis.
For our dynamic and entrepreneurial investment team in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, we are looking for a
Senior Investment Officer – Private Equity
You are part of the investment team - 7 people split between the US and Switzerland - and you contribute to the definition and the implementation of the investment strategy for the entire portfolio.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
- Definition of investment strategy for PE allocation within our portfolio;
- Identifying, analyzing and selecting the best opportunities in line with the investment strategy and targeting risk adjusted return of 20% net annualized and proposing to the investment committee;
- Implementing and further enhancing the “in-house” due diligence process;
- Regular meetings with global top-tier fund managers to monitor their investment strategy, their performance, etc. with the writing of systematic memos;
- Evaluating direct investment and co-investment opportunities;
- Preparation of various materials (Investment Fact Sheet, DD memorandum, etc.) for investment team meetings and for presentations to the investment committee;
- Client facing, interaction with Investor group
- Providing guidance and support to a junior member of the team (PE analyst)
From the ideal candidate, we require:
- A high level of expertise and at least 5-7 years experience in Private Equity (either in a PE fund or in a fund of PE funds);
- A master degree in Finance Banking with a strong knowledge of the international private equity markets (a good knowledge of emerging markets PE would be a plus);
- Proven sourcing capability and an extensive network within the PE industry would be a clear advantage;
- Experience within a sophisticated, alternative investment boutique or department will be highly appreciated;
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong collaborative relationships with our clients;
- Fluency in English is a must and frequent travel is expected;
- A highly motivated and results oriented team player.
