Senior Investment Risk Manager recruitment
The Senior Investment Risk Manager will be responsible for:
-Developing, managing and administering company risk systems.
-Assessing and proposing approach to setting company, product and individual risk limits.
-Assisting in the development of new trading ideas and strategies by designing and developing associated risk measures and carrying out risk analyses.
-Investigating and analysing new markets and new trading approaches from a risk management perspective.
-Contributing to company strategy and direction from risk management perspective.
-Fulfilling any additional/ad hoc studies on specific risk issues to meet the needs of the business.
As such, the successful Senior Investment Risk Manager will have the following skills and experience:
-Knowledgeable and interested in good engineering practices
-Full understanding of market risks including value at risk, initial margin, positional, Monte Carlo, reverse stress and mark to market as well as other risk measures.
-Thorough understanding of products traded including STIR futures and options, bonds, equities, commodities, swaps, options and foreign exchange.
-Strong knowledge of risk systems and the application of these systems.
-Good understanding of financial analysis and establishing trading limits.
-Knowledge of core risk management concepts: operational, market and credit.
-Ideally excellent VB / Matlab or similar high level development language, and proven technical skills developing own risk systems.
-Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
-Deep understanding of financial services processes, systems, products and markets.
-Strong Bachelors degree in Economics, Business Management, Finance or other related subject.
-Minimum of 2 years experience in development and management of risk systems.
-Minimum of 4 years experience in the area of market risk, risk monitoring or trading.
-Minimum of 6 years within financial services.
