Senior Investment/Product Strategist
Our Client is a global investment management firm with over $100B in AUM and committed to providing clients with superior asset management solutions and services. They offer a broad range of investment products; including equity, fixed income, and absolute return strategies across global developed and emerging markets. The client base includes endowments, foundations, pension funds, public funds, and other cultural institutions.
Responsibilities:
- Represent diverse group of products and strategies to primarily institutional clients including pensions, foundations, endowments, and sovereign wealth funds as well as to financial advisors through a sub advisory relationship.
- Work very closely with the researchers and portfolio managers within asset allocation, and act as the primary liaison between the investments team and the marketing and sales teams.
- The Product Strategist will act as a specialized source of product and market knowledge, providing ongoing updates on financial market performance, macroeconomic trends, and market views both internally and externally.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of investment experience and the ability to discuss a range of asset classes. Previous investing experience in research or portfolio management experience is highly desired.
- The ability to convey messages powerfully and in a clear manner so that clients of all types and levels of sophistication will understand.
- Excellent presentational and delivery skills, with an ability to command and compel an audience.
- The ability to gain clients’ respect as a “trusted advisor” and maintain strong relationships.
- An unquenchable curiosity of the markets and a passion for investing are must-haves, as are a strong desire for excellence and an active desire to learn in general.
- High energy level and a willingness to travel to meet with clients in person.
- Ability to operate in a team-oriented, collegial and collaborative environment.
- MBA, other advanced degree and/or CFA designation preferred.
- Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable in an ever-changing environment.
- Exercises good judgment coupled with the ability to make decisions quickly.
- Strong sense of ethics and integrity.
Education: An undergraduate degree from a well-regarded academic program is required. An advanced degree or a CFA is desired.
