Senior IT Analyst
Position Summary:
The Senior IT Analyst is a Tier 2 support, senior LAN analyst who analyzes, manages, maintains, and oversees installs of customer systems into a Data Center environment. Senior Analysts work with customers, Data Center management, Program Management and senior LAN administrators to effectively analyze, manage, monitor and maintain a large LAN Active Directory enterprise structure. Position requires shift work and the ability to analyze and diagnose the Data Center Operations and causal factors associated with loss of system availability.
Description:
This is a fast paced, service-oriented client server environment and the technically driven Senior IT Analyst position is responsible to analyze, manage and optimize overall aspects of an enterprise data center. The Senior IT Analyst will work closely with Customers, Data Center management, Program management, and senior LAN administrators to execute installs of customer systems into the Data Center. Position requires shift work, ability to assist senior LAN administrators with analysis and diagnosis of the causal factors associated with loss of system availability. Ability to work through issues associated with LAN configuration, software, and hardware. Ability to perform Tier II troubleshooting of servers and assist senior LAN administrators with problem resolutions and trouble-free and rapid escalations. Thorough working knowledge of network architectures TCP/IP, server hardware/software installation, configuration and support is required. Manage, oversee and optimize installations of new, and upgrade existing, software. Analyze and monitor daily server operations including conducting periodic audits. Analyze and monitor LAN administrators and network servers and infrastructure for availability, performance issues or degradation. Assist Data Center management by providing support to Datacenter customers as required. Analyze and document all findings/changes/issues/problems related to analysis and maintenance of the servers and LAN.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 support, analysis, monitoring and maintenance of a large Active Directory enterprise infrastructure
- Analyze, Manage and ensure maintenance of server/network performance for a 24 by 7 availability
- Analyze network architectures TCP/IP, server hardware/software installation, configuration and support.
- Analyze, manage Domain-level GPO’s
- Analyze, Design and testing of enterprise-wide OS configuration for XP, Windows 2003
- Management of SMS 2003 based patching and system configuration management for Windows 2003 Domain Controllers
- Support of Enterprise integrated PKI
- Visual Basic Scripting to support Tier II operations
- Interface with Messaging Group to work on Exchange –AD related issues
- Analyze, manage and optimize disaster recovery procedure/methods.
- Analyze, manage the Administration of the use of Anti-virus protection for local servers.
- Analyze IIS logs
- Analyze customer maintenance requests and logs
- Other duties as assigned
Secondary (required on an occasional basis):
- Supporting special projects

Minimum Qualifications:
- Active TS level security clearance
- Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience
- LAN/WAN-AD enterprise server design and administration experience
- Windows 2000/XP/2003 experience
- Win2K Serer/Win2K and 2003 Advanced server experience
- SNMP monitoring experience
- MS Office Suite experience
- MS PowerPoint experience
- MS Outlook experience
- MS Visio experience
