Global Internal Audit provides independent assurance to management and the Risk and Audit Committees that HSBC’s risk management, governance and internal control processes are designed appropriately and are operating effectively. HSBC commits significant resources in IT infrastructure, operations and systems development to support global business needs. IT Audit is responsible for providing independent evaluation of internal controls for all IT infrastructure, operations, systems and projects.
We are now inviting qualified candidates to apply for the role of Senior IT Audit Manager.
In this role, you will:
- Maintain and develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders of different levels of seniority e.g. the HSBC Technology and Services business and risk management function heads, the Group’s external auditors and regulators
- Plan, lead, manage and participate in a broad range of risk based themed, governance risk management framework and project audits
- Apply risk based auditing techniques to ensure the effective planning and execution of complex audit assignments, identify the root causes of issues and produce high quality audit reports containing pragmatic recommendations
- Manage the audit portfolio effectively through efficient resource allocation and ensure audits are completed promptly while maintaining flexibility in the schedule
- Support senior audit management and provide effective feedback on issues relating to project delivery and system quality
- Promote professional development through introduction of new audit techniques, development of best practice, training of staff, and overseeing update of audit programmes.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Degree qualified plus a relevant audit, project management, banking or consulting professional qualification
- Proven experience in management, auditing or consultancy experience within the financial service industry
- In-depth knowledge of the financial service industry and change management practices
- Confident and self-motivated with excellent interpersonal, presentation skills
- Capability of working independently, a logical and analytical approach to risks/problems, and an ability to develop practical, business supportive risk management solutions
- Good team player, with leadership, coaching and motivation skills
- Works to the highest standards and ability to prioritise workloads to meet tight deadlines
- Fluency in both written and spoken English, additional proficiency in other Asian languages will be highly valued.
- Willingness to travel abroad
