In order to better support our Federal customers, Kearney Company is actively hiring IT Auditors and Senior IT Auditors for our Washington, DC IT Advisory practice. The role requires both broad knowledge of information security and excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates must be able to articulate technology and information security risks into laymen business language for senior government executives.
Candidates for Senior IT audit / consultant positions must have proven experience managing small to moderate sized IT-related projects and IT security evaluations. This includes leading projects such as Certification and Accreditation (NIST CA or DIACAP) and IT General Control reviews from inception to conclusion while maintaining high customer satisfaction and keeping the project within budget and schedule constraints. The role requires an individual who is resourceful, works well under tight deadlines, and has demonstrated skill in managing client expectations. Finally, candidates must have a passion for the customer which is demonstrated through professionalism and striving for excellence in all aspects of the customer experience.
Responsibilities for Senior IT Auditor / Consultant Positions:
· Lead 1-2 IT Auditors for a 6 month period to execute a FISMA / FISCAM audit plan and associated technical review of Windows, UNIX, and mainframe servers and applications.
· Review IT Auditor’s workpapers and provide coaching as needed.
· Independently analyze and report on IT security controls in a variety of environments including mainframe, client-server, and PC-based systems.
· Prepare weekly status reports regarding engagements progress.
· Create and maintain a Project Plan to facilitate reporting metrics such as engagement profitability, percent complete, and eastimated engagement cost at completion.
· Act as a liason between the customer and Kearney Company management. Collaborates with the client management and Kearney Company team to address any concerns and positions Kearney Company as a strategic partner that provides indepth analysis of business problems and suggests creative solutions.
Requirements:
· BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university in Accounting, Computer Science, or related Information Systems discipline combined with a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in IT or Information security.
· Prior experience performing technical vulnerability assessments and / or network penetration testing of Windows and Unix servers is desired. Prior experience as a network server administrator or network architect is an acceptable substitute.
· Ability to work independently in analyzing problems and identifying solutions.
· Hands-on experience in addressing IT-related operational problems at a federal government agency.
· Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
· Ability to manage a small project to achieve high customer satisfaction within budget and time constraints
· Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
· Demonstrated understanding of the NIST Risk Management Framework and systems development life-cycles.
· Experience in defining creative solutions to cleint problems.
· Demonstrated prioritization and objection handling skills in an oversight or business transformation situation.
· Ability to travel as needed. Travel is estimated at 6-8 weeks during a 12 month cycle.
· Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance
