Senior IT Business Analyst - Shared OMS: # Position Summary: The Senior Business Analyst: - has primary responsibility to elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify, and manage the real needs of the project stakeholders, including customers and end users - will be engaged throughout the entire system or software development life cycle. Upon establishment of the requirements baseline, the focus shifts towards management of requirements specifications and verifying fulfillment of all requirements - is the liaison between business stakeholders and the development and quality assurance teams, throughout the software development lifecycle - plans and executes a detailed work plan to elicit, analyze, and communicate business requirements - manages stakeholder relationship - clarifies and understands the business need behind requirements - performs systems data analysis to understand requirements or propose solutions - recognizes inconsistent and conflicting requirements, and proactively resolve issues - advocates for the business to ensure that their needs have been communicated and understood - provides input to project plan and risk matrix, and manage tasks to project schedule - facilitates effective team interaction. Generate enthusiasm among team members - translates, resolves conflicts, negotiates, and influences as necessary to achieve successful outcomes - provides creative solutions. Participate in solution assessment and validation - assimilates new projects and domains quickly Qualifications Qualifications Basic: - Bachelors degree or equivalent experience - 3-5 years of related business analysis experience on diverse software project types including: COTS (commercial off the shelf), new development, and enhancements/support. - 3-5 years experience using business modeling techniques: process modeling tools, workflow modeling and use cases - 1-2 years experience of independent facilitation experience - 1-2 years experience independently creating and executing work plans for completing the Requirements phase of the project, with minimal direction - Superior interpersonal skills. Manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
