Senior IT Business Analyst (Trade Surveillance) – VP recruitment
Our client is a leading global financial institution. This is an individual contributor role consisting of 70% BA and 30% PM.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Work with Surveillance users to organize, analyse and document business requirements for surveillance, reports, and relevant workflows
- Build a strong relationship with the users to be their trusted partner and be proactive in identifying and recommending solutions to Surveillance teams
- Responsible for gathering and documenting functional requirements, producing detailed functional specification
- Oversees the integration of data transformation in the overall architecture. Recommend and develop if necessary, new methodologies for supporting information management security and compliance requirements as it relates to data management
- Oversee development of data definitions, helping to analysing data sets for data anomalies and/or to verify data quality and content, and producing data quality metrics
Requirements of the role:
- Experience in Trade Surveillance domain (MANDATORY)
- Experience in doing Business Analysis around Trade Surveillance areas using home grown systems or vendor systems like Actimize, Mantas etc….
- Solid understanding of Trade flows and Controls in Capital Markets domain (Equities/Fixed Income/Rates/Credit/Commodities)
- Experience with standard business modelling techniques, such as cross-functional process flows, use cases, wireframes, and UML
- Able to multi-task with ease including a demonstrated track record of delivering multiple concurrent complex technical projects on time
- Experience working within a SQL server/Oracle/Sybase database environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Visio, and Project
