Dallas Based- supporting Dallas client
 

A strong J2EE developer is needed to support large utilities client, business analysis and software development demands.  The role will require strong analytical skills, a sharpened development skill set and the ability to bridge the functional to technical gaps for the business users.  The candidate will need to communicate effectively with project stakeholders, support team counterparts, project management and external vendors.  The candidate must be able to quickly react to changing priorities, effectively work with diverse on/offshore, multi-vendor structured teams, and be able to translate and develop business needs into technical solutions using a wide array of java technologies.  This candidate must have a keen ability to solve issues and problems and be able to succinctly articulate project status, issues and risks to a broad audience of business users and team members.

·         Ability to multi-task, re-prioritize and quickly react to dynamic business priorities
·         Innovative, problem solver and solutions oriented
·         Track and analyze business unit trends and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact the unit
·         Point of contact between the business unit and Information Technology's Application Developers and Maintenance personnel
·         Make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact operational effectiveness
·         Ability to understand project concept, objectives and approach
·         Takes assigned project from original concept through final implementation
·         Defines project scope and objectives
·         Coordinating requests with the Change Control Board (CCB) and Ensures that all items follow the change management process

·         5+ Years experience in Java software development including web based Java and J2EE development
·         Experience with Spring framework, Apache Struts, Direct Web Remoting, AJAX, JQUERY
·         Google Web Toolkit and app server configuration
·         Deep knowledge of object oriented programming concepts
·         Messaging(JMS and Spring)
·         XML/XSLT
·         Good understanding of web services, working with digital certificates, SSL and message signing.
·         Familiarity with Axis 1.4 will be very helpful.
·         Understanding of Java crypto API
